Internship at Architect 61 (Dec 2015)

Founded in 1974 and in the fifth decade of impressive successful track records, Architect 61 continues to be one of the leading corporate architectural practices in Singapore. 

Responsibilities: 

Worked as an intern and learned from 5 different architects for 5 days. Experienced the process of construction site analysis and investigation at Shenton Way (V), Ardmore 7, Pasir Ris Grove and NUS Admin Block.Observed meetings and conferences  alongside with architects when dealing with clients, contractors, tenders and developers at Peninsula Plaza, Ocean Financial Central, One Raffles Quay, Marina Bay Financial Central and China Square.

Achievements:

The job shadowing has allowed me to gain valuable insight and appreciate first hand the multi faceted aspects of an architect's work. This internship has anchored my interest and further inspired me to pursue a career as an architect.

I was put under the care of Mrs. Serena throughout my internship with A61.

I was privileged to be assigned to all these caring and inspiring architects for different days!

Attended one of the meetings where clients, developers, engineers, contractors and architects participated.

I was tasked to design my "Dream house". Of course, I went wild with the designs haha. It was more of a fantastical design than a practical one hehe. I designed a house that has two levels, a rotating car storage building and an observatory built on a tree top.
